Session advertising gives you a powerful advantage and greater impact. When anyone, whether a user or not, visits BigBearCalendar.com, an ad session is started. For Lake Advertisers, this will lock your ads into the calendar so that as long as that user is on the site they will only see your ads. If you have not uploaded both a horizontal and vertical ad, then only the ad you have added will be locked, whereas the other will be open to rotation. This type of advertising works for as long as the session lasts- which is until they close their browser or are away from the calendar for more than a half hour. This type of advertising is user specific, that is to say, there is a seperate rotation for each unique visitor. Lake ads may be running for one user while simultaneously Wilderness or Forest ads could be running for another.

Lake Advertising rotates in the same category as both forest and wilderness, so as users switch pages fresh ads appear each time. If one of these ads belongs to a Lake Advertiser, then they are locked for the duration of the visitor's time. This may change in the future, where the Lake Advertising will be on an "ON/OFF" basis, where when a new visitor arrives they are either given Lake Ads only, or Forest and Wilderness only, and the two will not share rotation. Thus, Wilderness and Forest Advertisers will mix rotations, but Lake Advertisers will not compete with the other two plans. Whether we switch to this alternate method of ditribution or not will depend on how things go, but we will notify all Advertisers before switching.
